Bias

Bias only arises in a situation of relative freedom.

if bias always arises in the same direction then it is not a situation of relative freedom but one of control, in which case we are no longer in the realm of bias.

So bias must arise in more than one direction with some undetermined frequency.

Why, then, do people who concern themselves with bias never perceive it when it works in their favor? They must acknowledge that this is possible with some undetermined frequency, so why do they never seem to notice it?
